PATRON REVIEWS
See what our patrons are saying about the Summer Reading Program at Hudson Public Library
My girls and I participated in the Summer Reading Program. We enjoy reading and visiting the library to get books. Both my girls looked forward to completing the tasks(footprints) and logging in their progress. They were super happy with the prizes they received along their journey. I liked how my log had a variety of well thought through goals. We all feel satisfied with all we accomplished over the summer and glad to have the library summer reading program cheering us on!

The summer reading program was very entertaining for my 4 kiddos. They had something for every age. The events they had seemed to be well attended. They had a few events we weren't able to attend due to the time they were held. The prizes were well loved in our house and really encouraged our kiddos to continue with good reading habits. We will continue to sign up for the summer reading program!

The Hudson Public Library’s Summer Reading program was absolutely wonderful! It was very kid-friendly, with plenty of fun activities to keep kids engaged and excited about summer reading. The dinosaur theme was a huge hit and made the program even more fun. We also loved the fun prizes, which gave the kids extra motivation to keep reading throughout the summer! The staff went the extra mile to make this a BIG success. We will definitely be returning next year for all the summer fun.

A phenomenal experience with the summer reading program! Everyone was amazing and my son loved the theme this year! We enjoy getting out shirts every year and my son always asks if he can read books to mark it off on his sheet. Something we look forward to every summer now 🙂

I can’t say enough positive things about our library’s summer reading program! It had such a wonderful impact on our family and truly helped make reading something my children wanted to do this summer instead of something we had to battle over. My kids absolutely loved filling in their reading logs and following the path of dinosaur eggs. It was such a simple, creative way to keep them motivated and excited about their progress. I also loved how the prizes were structured, with a prize along the way as a benchmark and another for completing more of the reading log. It gave them something achievable to work toward while encouraging them to keep going. The activities throughout the summer were incredibly thoughtful and always felt fresh and new. My kids genuinely never get bored at the library! There is always something different to discover, create, or participate in. I also really appreciate that the summer reading program includes all levels of readers, from the youngest kiddos all the way through adults. It makes reading feel like something the whole family and community can be part of. Most of all, the amount of creativity, thoughtfulness, and joy the library staff brings to these programs is unmatched. We are incredibly fortunate to have such an amazing library and staff here in Colorado. Thank you for making reading fun, exciting, and something our kids looked forward to all summer long!

I’m trying to find the best way to summarize the program, and all I can say is that I loved every aspect of it! The reading challenge really motivated me to keep reading and exploring during the summer. I enjoyed the craft time; everything I created in each class was fantastic. Having so many events for my niece while she was visiting for the summer was wonderful. I truly adored the shirts and the prizes we earned each week—200 points for each completion! Honestly, every single staff member is so welcoming and helpful; they truly feel like family given how often I’m there every week. I want to express my heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you for your support, effort, and the extra time you dedicated over the summer and every single day. It definitely hasn’t gone unnoticed. With sincere gratitude, Cynthia
