Official Summer Reading runs June 1 through August 1, and patrons are welcome to sign up throughout the summer. Stop by the library to register, pick up your reading log, and start earning prizes as you read, participate, and explore.

Sign Up at the Library

Registration is available in person at Hudson Public Library. The first 1,000 people to sign up will receive a Summer Reading t-shirt while supplies last.

Track Your Reading

Reading logs are available for toddlers, children, teens, tweens, and adults. Each age group has its own reading goals, activities, prizes, and grand prize opportunities.

Celebrate All Summer

Enjoy special summer programs, outside performers, movies, family events, and more from June through August. A wrap up party is currently planned for August 3.

Complete all 12 activities to earn a prize! Bring your log to the library each visit to receive prizes along the way. Then, read 10 books, track each one you finish, and win a FREE book!

Children (PreK-5th Grade)

Color your way through your reading log! Color one egg for every 20 minutes you read, and bring your log to the library each visit to earn prizes. Every 200 minutes earns a prize, and completed logs can be turned in for the grand prize drawing. Complete the activities section and have a librarian sign off to be entered into the Squishmallow drawing!

Pre-Teens & Teens (6th-12th Grade)

Color your way through reading! Color one shape for every 30 minutes you read, track your titles and pages, and show a librarian to celebrate your progress. Every 5 hours (300 minutes) earns a Makerspace Day! Complete the activities section and have a staff member sign off for a chance to win a gift card.

Adults (18+)

Easily upload files from home and print at the library.Complete library, reading, and community-themed activities to earn points! Tally your points in the boxes and bring your log in every 200 points to earn a prize. Feel free to repeat activities, have fun, and once your log is complete, turn it in for the grand prize raffle!
