Family Connections
Programs designed to bring families together
Families can come together to read, play, and explore in an inviting and engaging environment. Storytimes, activities, and interactive spaces give caregivers and kids opportunities to learn side by side while enjoying meaningful moments together. At the same time, families connect with the larger library community, creating lasting bonds beyond the page.
It’s a welcoming place where curiosity leads to discovery and relationships grow stronger with every visit. The library is here to support both learning and connection for families of all kinds.

We love Family Bingo! Great games, great prizes, and even better family time.
Julie Hladky
Our whole family loves visiting libraries, and the moment we walked into Hudson Public Library, we felt right at home. The staff was so friendly, and there were great activities and spaces for all of us. We live in Northglenn, but we’ll definitely be coming back it’s worth the trip!

Family Programs FAQs
We have study rooms or meeting spaces that can be reserved for quiet study, tutoring, or small group use. Ask about availability and booking procedures.
You’ll need to bring a photo ID and proof of address. In order for children to get their own card, we ask that young library users be able to provide the following information without any help from the guardians: Full name, address, telephone number, and birthdate (including birth year). Ask staff for details about age requirements and borrowing limits.
Yes! Our summer reading program includes activities, prizes, and reading challenges for all ages. Families can participate together and attend fun events throughout the summer.
Borrowing limits and loan periods vary by item type (books, DVDs, kits, etc.). Most materials check out for 3 weeks. You can renew items online or by calling the library, as long as there are no holds.
We are now fine-free for late materials! If something is lost or damaged, you may be responsible for replacement costs. Staff can help you with options.
Yes! Hudson Public Library resident cardholders (Hudson, Keenesburg, Lochbuie, Roggen) can check out Adventure Passes for free admission to local museums, play spaces, and attractions. Passes are limited to one at a time, loaned for one week (Zoo Pass is a 1-day pass), and cannot be held in advance.
