Messy art is ultimately about the process of creating/experimenting with raw art. Materials gives kids the chance to foster their curiosity, imagination, and problem solving skills. By making choices about how they use the materials you present, they build self-confidence and independence. Messy art is simply one of the best ways for your children to explore the world around them with all of their senses, developing fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination in the process.
